WebMy solution was to add a RPi to my UPS, and connect the UPS to the RPi (via USB). I've set up the apcupsd daemon so that when on UPS power and at 4% remaining battery life, use SSH to shutdown the ER-X and AP's, and then the RPi. I use shutdown -H so that the OS goes down, but the units still remain powered, to drain the UPS.
