Web29 okt. 2009 · The striker plat screws go into a plate on the other side of the door frame. There are big holes for the scews. Use an impact screwdriver (don't evn botheer with a large regular screwdriver!) and loosen enough so that you can move the plate. Loosen too far and the nut plate can go away on you. The twist handle doors are for Cj's from '76 to '79 or '80. Not sure but I think they went and stayed to the paddle type from that point on. I have the twist handle style. ('76 cj7) The way the door closes and locks is different.
