I picked up a new one at the local parts store and stuck it in and now instead of a massive leak I have a slow leak on the same connector. Connector looks like this. Using a gear clamp on a coolant hose will always leak eventually. As the hose heats up and expands, a gear clamp will not expand with it making it tighter, pinching the hose.
